About Jeff

Jeff Smith has extensive mortgage banking background. He owned and operated his own mortgage company for over 20 years in the Southwest part of the country. As President & CEO of Prime Source Mortgage, Inc., Jeff grew the company to over 300 employees, 30 offices in 10 states and took the company public before exiting in 2015. He has done some consulting for 2 top 10 lenders in the US since, and has recently joined TruLoan Mortgage as a Southwest Regional Vice President. Jeff specializes in developing a successful culture that immerses the entire team and results in a profitable and scalable lending platform.

Jeff earned his Finance degree from West Texas A&M University, and his graduate degree from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU.

He’s been married to his amazing bride, Cindy for 40 years, and they have 2 amazing children, Kristin Messerli, a National speaker for Mortgage and Real Estate professionals, and Eric Smith, married to Ashley, and COO of a non-profit, The Spoken Gospel. They also enjoy their first Grandson, Asher, the son of Eric & Ashley.

Interesting Fact
When Jeff was 40 years old, his cardiologist gave him 24 hours to live, and “the” Dr. Mehmet Oz eventually performed a life-saving experimental open heart surgery on him …… He’s like a good Timex, he just keeps on tickin’ ……..
